Strategic analysis of rural tourism development from a cultural point of view in Hawraman with an emphasis on event-oriented tourism

Abstract
The villages of Hawraman region have a long history with an ancient cultural background, customs and special cultural symbols, each of these represents the corners of the rich and fruitful culture of this region, which, can attract the attention of many tourists as important cultural events. Based on this, the purpose of this research is to analyze the strategic development of rural tourism from a cultural point of view in Hawraman with an emphasis on event-oriented tourism, which was done using the SWOT analysis method. The studied community were key informants in the research field who were selected purposefully. The tools of data collection in the qualitative section were in-depth and semi-structured interviews and group discussion, and in the quantitative section, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. In order to analyze the data, content analysis and SWOT analysis were used; Then, using the IE internal and external evaluation matrix to identify the region's situation and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM), rural tourism development strategies were classified and prioritized from a cultural perspective in Hawraman. The results showed that the aggressive pattern (SO) for the development of event-oriented tourism had a higher priority than other strategic models. Also, based on the results, the strategies of "strengthening the border markets of Hawraman with the aim of motivating and attracting tourists", "providing financial facilities and incentives from the government to private sector investors" and "strengthening and developing infrastructure and facilities and service equipment in villages prone to event-oriented tourism" were ranked first to third.
