The research method was a survey and the sample size was 400 people over 18 years of age in Kermanshah city, who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling in 20 blocks of Kermanshah city. The data was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire, and Cronbach's alpha was used for the validity and reliability of the research indicators. The findings showed that the average dimension of identity security was more than other dimensions of social security (3.98 out of 5). The average sense of personal security was average (2.45) and the average sense of financial security was low (1.76). The average sense of social security has been different according to gender, education, age and length of residence. Examining the feeling of social security in terms of different neighborhoods of Kermanshah city showed that the life, financial and identity security of neighborhoods with medium and high level of prosperity (Kasri, Elahia, Saadi, Farhangian phase 2) is more than the neighborhoods with low level of prosperity (Jafarabad, Hekmatabad, Anahita). and Chaghamirza) has been According to the findings of the research, it is suggested that by emphasizing the reconstruction of urban identity, a better representation of the social security situation of Kermanshah city should be done in the media, so that the gap between the perception of social security in Kermanshah and the objective reality derived from the research results will be reduced.
