Economic development in each region is a function of economic, socio-cultural, environmental conditions and potentials, regional advantages, strategic location and generally investment opportunities that should be identified and prioritized and finally exploited for the endogenous development of the province. In this regard, the current research was conducted with the aim of identifying and prioritizing investment opportunities for economic activities in Kermanshah province. In terms of approach, the current research is mixed and in terms of purpose, it is an application that was carried out in 2 phases. In the first phase, using the content analysis method, opportunities were identified and categorized, as well as indicators were compiled. In the second phase, using the TOPSIS technique, pre-identified opportunities were prioritized. The studied community included all the experts in the field of the subject of research in Kermanshah province, who were selected using purposeful sampling. In this research, data saturation was achieved with the participation of 38 experts. The tools of data collection in the qualitative part were semi-structured in-depth individual interviews, group discussions, techniques for examining existing documents and field notes, and in the quantitative part, questionnaires. According to the results, 32 opportunities were identified and prioritized in three categories: agriculture and animal husbandry, industry and services. The findings of this study bring appropriate achievements to help the policy makers and planners of Kermanshah province for the endogenous development of the province and attract investors.
