Abstract
The study among children and adolescents is of great importance in terms of cultural and educational works. In this context, the production of children's and adolescent books is accompanied by many challenges. Identifying practical and developmental strategies for the production of children's books can help solve the problem and adopt appropriate practical and developmental strategies. Therefore, this study was developed with the aim of investigating the practical and developmental strategies for the production of children's and adolescent books in Kermanshah Province. The research method is descriptive-analytical, which was carried out using a questionnaire. The statistical population consisted of 70 publishers, illustrators, sellers, writers, and printing houses. The reliability of the study using Cronbach's alpha was 0.76. The findings show that in total, the driving factors for the production of children's and adolescent books are 8.275 and the inhibiting factors are 14.33. The most important driving factors are the existence of local and fictional potentials such as myths, legends and folk tales, and the most important inhibiting factors include the problems of the publishing industry, including infrastructure, economic problems of buyers, lack of reading culture and the advent of new technologies such as tablets and mobile phones, etc. Finally, practical strategies such as creating reading bells, creating children's book exhibitions, etc. and development strategies such as updating laws and regulations and reforming cumbersome supervisory processes can be effective in improving the production of children's and adolescent books.
